Naeem (MC Spank Rock) backing up Chris Devlin & DJ Ghostdad through uncharted waters, singing on a new track they’ve been working on. WINWIN FTW!
WINWIN’s Chris Devlin (@dr_devlinstien) & DJ Ghostdad (@Ghostdad) busting out at Goodgod earlier this evening. WINWIN was missing XXXChange, but they smashed out some heafty numbers, thats for damn sure. Live electronic music set and Ghostdad on cued visuals. What a gun crew!
All members are of SpankRock fame.
Midway through the shred-a-thon that ensued a stellar Blood Orange performance. from behind me I heard a guy say “Hendrix, eat my shorts!”.
Blood Orange, previously known as Lightspeed Champion, at GoodGod in Chinatown tonight. Everyone was expecting something similar to Lightspeed Champion; soulful, relaxed and charming. Instead, they got a man who shredded like a woodchipper, sweated possibly half his body weight, and danced around for more than half his set in the middle of the crowd. Electrifying? Nah. Mind blowing.
MC SpankRock had a guest performance in WINWIN’s set, warming up for Blood Orange, and at the end of the set, he couldn’t speak. I asked him what he thought. “Man, I can’t speak. Nothing happened. Ever. History was just erased…”
Huge.
